Visa Attempt #1

So I got on the bus from Lehigh to Philly at 6:30 am in the morning this past Friday and despite my best efforts at preparing to get my visa I was not successful. When I arrived (before the office even opened) the girl in front of me was on her 2nd attempt; the guy in front of her was on his 3rd. I didn't get a good feeling.

So, after entering the room and signing up I patiently awaited my turn, I had to re-fill out a different form and re-write my name on the list, during which an Italian resident got into a virulent shouting match with the visa guy. I don't know exactly what they were saying buy they were definitely cursing by the end... it created a really great atmosphere, especially for the Indian woman also in front of me, and for her two small children. I go to the window for the second time and, long story short, there is one more form that the Pittsburgh Honorary Consulate failed to tell me I needed. Grand.

The form will be ready for me to pick up tomorrow before we leave to drive home which is a miracle come true considering my love of the Bursar's Office. To be frank, that office has really been impressing me recently. Anywho, I'll pick that up and then try again the Monday after Thanksgiving. Cross your fingers!
